"Painting from life is the most rewarding process. Landscapes, seascapes, small European villages, misty Andean mountains, Nature's wonders in Africa, the subject is never at a complete repose. The sky is always changing, clouds are moving, a breeze is blowing a shadow is cast, then moves with the sun. For these reasons I find painting from life essential and find myself more and more compelled to be outside with the elements to experience a full valued artistic experience." Ann Jocelyn Stein
